Mailing List Rules

Welcome to the South Florida Final Cut Pro Users Group (SoFlaFCPUG) mailing list.

Here are a few guidelines to abide by:

1) The topic of this list is Final Cut Studio, digital media production and related fields. Please keep your posts as on topic as possible. Off topic posts are permitted within reason, and must be marked as "OT" in the subject line.

1a) Absolutely NO chain letters, rumors, hoaxes or other such nonsense!

2) Change the subject line when you change the subject. Keep the subject header accurate to content.

3) When asking a question, please provide as much relevant data as possible. With FCP it really helps to know machine info, OS, QT version and more.

4) Do not quote an entire message. Only use what is necessary. Trim the message footer from your reply.

5) Please sign your postings, but keep your signature lines to a minimum.

6) Although subscribers may offer specific equipment and services to the list or share an exceptional bargain they have discovered, explicitly commercial posts are prohibited.

7) Avoid one liner & "me too" messages. Offer something!

8) Avoid sending attachments. If you are referring to an image or file, post it online, and give the link instead.

9) No flames or abuse - period! No political discussions. All list members are requested to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Route disputes to private email.

10) Don't send automatic responders or message receipts to the list!

11) The list owners, monitors/moderators, operators or sponsors are in no way responsible for any direct or indirect damage as a result from involvement with this list.

12) Participants who post to this list grant rights to the list owner, South Florida Final Cut Pro Users Group (SoFlaFCPUG), to include their posts in a searchable archive located online at the SoFlaFCPUG Google Group.

13) Any abuse of the list will result in being moderated or banned from the list.
